X2Definitely a cockerel.
Silkies in general are a very relaxed breed, and I haven’t heard of many aggressive cockerels. Their crow does carry though. Our neighbors have one, and you can hear him from a ways off. But he’s definitely much quieter than our standard roo.Yup. I was 99% sure already
Next question... this is my first experience with silkies. He's skittish, but very chill. How aggressive are silkie cockerels? And how loud? Trying to decide if we can keep him.
Thanks!
Hey my 14 week old silkie is very aggressive with other chicks and is aggressive with me and loves fighting. does this mean it’s a rooster? it looks like a girl and everyone has told me it’s a girl. does its aggressiveness change that or could it still be a girl?Definitely a cockerel.
There are aggressive pullets as well. Temperament by itself doesn't really indicate gender.Hey my 14 week old silkie is very aggressive with other chicks and is aggressive with me and loves fighting. does this mean it’s a rooster? it looks like a girl and everyone has told me it’s a girl. does its aggressiveness change that or could it still be a girl?
