Hello!!

I'm a looooong time reader, but a first time poster!

I absolutely love orpingtons. I have buff, blues, lavenders, and new Silver laced English! They are going on to 5 weeks old and my patience is falling behind my excitement. This brings me here where I'd LOVE to ask and read opinions from those who know MUCH more than I do!

I've tried doing all of my own research before posting but I just keep doubting everything I'm seeing. These two Silver Laced English Orpingtons (SLEO) have been and still are being raised with my small flock of lavenders. I feel VERY confident in being able to sex the lavenders because it is already very apparent based on tail feathers and wattles as to what they are. HOWEVER these SLEO's have me absolutely dumbfounded! They seem to feather MUCH differently than what I'm use to. Their shape - or stance at least - also seems much different.

SLEO 1 --- FIRST 3 PICTURES (this one seems noticeably larger in size)

SLEO 2 --- LAST 3 PICTURES

Thank you guys so much for any input! I appreciate the opinions of everyone!

Yes! What other breeds have you had?
I've only 3 chickens right now that have reached adulthood. My EE Roo (profile picture), a buff orpington, and a blue orpington. I also have a teenage group of 3 RIR, 2 EE, 1 Buff Orp (all pullets). My younger chicks are madness... I've built two brooders and a halfway coop thus far because theres roughly 30-40 of them. Included are lavender orps, EE - Orp crosses (from my adults), silkies, seramas, bantams, turkens, and more that I can't quite name lol... It's going to be an interesting year for sure.

May I ask what you have??
