Picked up this lil chick a week ago and I'm new to this but it's 2 weeks old now and I know it can be breed specific that they might have a short tail do you guys think I might have a lil roo? I still think it's a hen what do you guys think?

All the other ones have long tails,is there a chance it can be the breed?

The rate at which a chick's tail feathers develop can vary within the same breed and while pullets frequently develop them faster than cockerels, this is not always the case and as a result, the rate of tail feather development is not reliable for sexing a chick. This one particular chick's tail feather development is likely just stunted for some reason. A much better indicator of its gender will be seen in the development of its comb over the next few weeks. Cockerels develop larger and redder combs at a much earlier age than do pullets.

Too young to sex. Feather growth can vary a little with gender, but it is mostly dependent on breed and individual genetics.
