I just added this cutie to my flock -- she is about 3 months old. She has been affectionately named Poor Pitiful Pearl -- Pearl for short since she was getting picked on by some bigger bully Dels at her previous home. She is missing some feathers on her back but they are coming back in pretty fast now! She is a sweet little thing!

**I have been looking on here and have seen posts on both Sizzles and Frilkies?? Not sure if there really is a difference -- if so what do I have here?

**What is the color??? Very neat looking almost lemon-blue-grey??

**I am pretty sure she is a pullet but thought I'd double check that as well. She has a single comb?

**She is *small* and I was wondering what size eggs to expect from her? At this point I would think they would be the size of a marble -- she is so tiny!!

Thanks for any info!!!

It a sizzle, and it's definitely a girl. The color not so sure, but I'm going to go with the partridge family. I'm sure someone will come along with something more creative...she's very cute though.

yes, the color is really interesting!! It is much more yellow than a buff and has a barring or lacing around the tips. Her tail is more a grey-blue. Throws me for a loop!

Probably Frizzle not sizzle unless she has five toes. The pencilling is faint but there - so yes a pencilled or partridge original pattern, with significant dilution.

How many toes, what color skin on face, feet and toes? - most Sizzles are dark skinned and five toed.

The original parent was definitely partridge or pencilled something or other - very pretty lemon and blue coloration, nice bird. Good buy.

Skin is black/blue-ish -- legs are a slate color. Single comb and only 4 toes, not the typical 5. But she has that silkie stature and top-knot poof. And makes noises --cooing and chirping like a silkie.

What size do bantam Sizzles get to? How many eggs a week will this little girl be laying (when she isn't broody -- I have read about Silkies!!). I looked at feathersite and they don't have info on Sizzles -- prob. isn't a recognized "breed". -- but I am curious to learn more about them -- now that I have one!
