Found this inside one of my five year old Easter Eggers eggs, it looks like a screwy membrane or something but I've never seen it before.

I am wondering if it is part of the chalaza? The chalazae are the white stringy things that connect the yolk to either end of the egg and center it in the egg white. Some eggs, especially fresh eggs, have larger ones than others. If you search here on BYC for chalaza, you’ll find a lot of pics of possible chalaza that people have found in their eggs.Found this inside one of my five year old Easter Eggers eggs, it looks like a screwy membrane or something but I've never seen it before.

Okay thank you, I'll do that, I've never had something weird inside their eggs, except for the odd meat or blood spot.I am wondering if it is part of the chalaza? The egg looked normal on the outside and had a fully formed yolk, I'm thinking it was just a funky membrane. Was that inside a hard shelled egg with a full yolk?
It's part of a malformed membrane....membrane also forms the chalazae.
I got one yesterday, but no shell at all just this.
