Something wrong with one of my chickens toes

Hi! I have a blue copper maran...she's over a year old... that has been having trouble walking for a couple days. I did check her out when I first noticed it but couldn't find anything wrong. She is eating and drinking well. I checked again today and she has, I believe lost a toe nail and the end of her toe is like a bulb on it. I have attached a photo. I sprayed some veterycin on it but not sure what else to do. Any suggestions? Thank you

I’ve seen this in my chickens. It’s just when they dig in wet grass/poop/dirt and it drys off on the toe. You gotta soak it for a few minutes and get gloves and try to pull it off, pulling in one direction. If that doesn’t work then use a pick and get it off

Honestly as long as it gets wet and moist it works. But for your sake of ease? Probably a bucket a five gallon or a tub.

It’s gonna b a whole buncha wing flapping and getting hit in the face with wings but it doesn’t hurt her. Just gonna be a quick uncomfortable feeling then relivement

I use my bathtub. I fill it with a few inches of warm water, place them in the tub, turn the lights off, and then let them soak.
