Sore on chick?

We picked up these chicks yesterday so they are less then a week old. One had a spot on his butt a bit down from the vent that looks like poop, but looking at it after cleaning jt up some i think it might be a scab on a sore. Should i do anything more then monitor and treat with ointment? Thanks for the help!

Looking around a but i think it might be the leftover umbilical cord. Its a bit red now since i was messing with it trying to clean it, but still seems attached and not bleeding

You can put some iodine alcohol on it to help dry it out.
