Spanish Moss in Compost Bin?

Ca I Put Moss(Spanish Moss) InMy Compost Tumbler? We Have Tons Of It Here In Savannah,And Was Wondering If Anyone Puts It In Their Compost Tumblers/Bins/Piles.

I don't think there would be a problem, but I don't have any experience with Spanish moss. I wonder how long it takes to break down?

Spanish moss should be fine in a tumbler (I only compost in piles/bins but imagine the concept remains true). As long as your compost is active, there shouldn't be anything weedy to survive the process that would propagate when it's added to a garden.
