I have 14 chicks. 10 are just about 4 weeks old and the other 4 are about 3 days younger. Straight run so some are roo's (2 or 3 for sure) Anyway, they seem to challenge each other and have mini standoff's. Its comical to watch but geeze they ALL act like roosters. I'm "pretty sure" not ALL are roo's LOL........right.......lord help me if they are.

Is this something they just do? no one is getting passed just standing up taller than one another and squawking a bit then its over.

I just moved them out to the coop for more room, they have a cozy place with their heat lamp, perches and all. I thought maybe the container I had them in the house was too small and they were starting to fight but they still spar in wide open spaces except now they can fly a bit too, crash right into each other.

let me know what y'all think

That is normal chicken behavior to see who is who.

All of my 7 hens did it when they were chicks. They are all laying machines now and still spar every now and then.

Hi Muddyhorse. My llama is the 2006 and 2009 ALSA driving champion. He does Pleasure driving and Obstacle driving. I am a very active Llama show person and we also do Performance (obstacles) lead in hand.

Here is my current 2009 National picture

We have a little silky girl who is currently 4 months old, and we have a little EE that is 1 month old, and they will fluff up and bump chests all the time!

It is so hilarious to watch them all play fight! I love it when they really get going and start jumping while bumping too!

Just sit back and enjoy the show!
