Sparrow's Chat Thread

Yep since we don't have snow here we usually use a piece of wood or a waggon and attach it to the truck. It's so fun especially doing that while mudding or going thru the sugarsand cuz if you fall out it don't hurt either.
I've down it on mud or just pasture but once you've done it on snow everything else does seem a little more dangerous.
Not that that necessarily stopped us though.

I want to see snow one day and ski. I think it would be fun just not to live in. And ya I agree we have done some stupid and dangerous things too but they were fun and at least we didn't grow up having a boring childhood😂

I agree which is why I am super grateful of the parents God gave me. Cuz they never gave us phones or anything like that till we got into college. So we got to grow up and be like how kids should be. Playing in the woods, coming up with games, using our brain and just enjoying life and being outside instead of wondering how many likes a post got on social media or something like that.

Once when I was 13 or so a couple friends and I learned how to make rabbit snares. You know the kind that you bend over a small tree.
That turned into just seeing how big of a tree we could actually get bent over till the top was almost to the ground. We were climbing them and pulling with a rope etc.
We finally found a perfect one that we were convinced we could do with enough effort. We trimmed most of the branches out of the way and then it escalated to seeing if we could use it as sort of a sling shot to throw one of us through the air like being shot out of a cannon.
Ya ya I know. That wasn't the smartest idea and I don't think any of us thought about the landing we were more determined to see if it would work.
We tied a rope to the top and all three climbed it and got it tipping over nicely. When we were close the top kid slide off to the ground and pulled the rope for all he was worth. Me and the other kid held tight and when we got it as far as we could the plan was for the other kid to dive out while the first let go of the rope and I'd go flying.
I'm sure at the time I probably didn't think it would really throw me from the tree and I'd just ride it out and then climb down.
It went as planned but it swung back towards the ground on the opposite side. It shot me like a rocket straight into the ground with a thud.
First bone I ever broke. My leg.
