Hey yall wanted to post in regards to trying to determine the sex of my 2 Sussex and 1 Silver laced Wyandotte!!

I tried to sex the SS by their wing feathers which does have an upper and lower layer of feathers .

SLW is younger than the SS but tried for a darker chick that has shaping of a tail feather already . All feedback is appreciated thank you !!

Hm...lighter wing "cap" on the last might mean cockerel. The 1st Sussex has a more defined head stripe and eye stripes--might be a pullet. Look up the details on sexing a Sussex--I believe they are auto-sexing. No guess on the wyandotte.

Speckled sussex aren't autosexable and feather sexing only works when specifically bred for it (and must be done within a specific window post hatch for wings). Watch for comb and wattles growth. Wyandottes tend to pink early so the color won't help on that one either.

Ok thank you I’ll keep an eye out
