Thanks to this app, I am learning so much about chickens so even though this occured to the Sussex, I am doing better with my other 5 chicks.

We love our Speckled Sussex chickens. They are friendly. Our two Speckled cockerels are gentlemen. They are in with the Speckled pullets, 9 Isa Brown pullets and one Buff Orpington pullet. They have all been together since they were a week old. Now they are all 4 months old and are all congenial and come running when we go to their coop and gather around our feet. We definitely intend to keep this breed going for sure. Enjoy they are so beautiful.

Do you have pictures of the chest feathers? Cockerels have more white chest vs hens if I remember correct.
The feather colors can help with sexing.

Please excuse the status of their brooder I clean it once a day and haven’t yet today. They also completely obliterate it after 5 seconds.

So the one that’s more feathered, is so much bigger than the other!
These were the best pics I could get because these 2 are feral!!

Yours are about a week older than mine it sounds like. Mine was sold as a pullet and I'm praying it's true, but the short tail has me a little worried!

Were yours sold as pullets? If so I have hope for us, they can't all 3 be wrong right lol?
