Does anyone have pictures of theirs to share?

I got two by mistake, I thought they were Hamburgs but then they grew crests. They're the most adorable and sweet-natured chicks I have ever had. I think I'm in love.

One is mostly white and one has more black.

As little chicks...

There doesn't seem to be an active breed thread going....

So.... Can we start this one back up?

Could everyone who owns these birds

1. Post pictures!

2. Tell us where you got the birds

3. How many eggs per week, color and size (I know white, but creamy, chalky, etc.)

4. Any interesting characteristics that are greatly different from other breeds you have

Yeah to the Spitzhauben!

I have 3 Spitz and am in love with them! I have 2 that are almost an off white color and one that looks Gold Laced. They are from Greenfire. I was so surprised to find a thread on them and YES I do hope we can get this one active and find some others who have them. I think they are fairly new to the chicken community but I am sure once people are exposed to them they will really like them. The only info I have on them is what I have read. I will try to get some pics as soon as all the rain passes.

barn queen,

how old are yours? and what sexes?

there are Spitzhauben available from a few of the hatcheries, but from everything I have read, Greenfire has wonderful bloodlines! Lucky you!
Actually I don't know yet. I need to do some research to see what the difference is. Maybe you will be able to tell in the pics. I have just had fun enjoying them. ;-)
