I was outside in my backyard and a few wasps all the sudden started flying near me and my 1 year old so my husband went and got wasp spray and sprayed the nest that was up on the gutters and then sprayed a few that fell to the ground (used spectracide carpenter bee and yellow jacket spray). The chickens were in their coop that it probably 100 feet away. After he sprayed I was like, oh no, we probably shouldn't have done that..... I'm not worried about the chickens now because they weren't near it, but I like to let them out for a few hours everyday and now I'm scared to because of the wasps and the pesticides sprayed on the ground. It was in a small area of the yard by our house and I was going to rake up the leaves in that area to burn, and then water the whole area really well to wash anything away. Will that keep my chickens safe? How long should I wait to let them out again? Just a nervous chicken mom
