I've only managed to see a few in my lifetime in my area. When I went to Michigan's UP they were EVERYWHERE! Bit my butt thru my jeans... Made a very itchy and painful camping trip because I'm slightly allergic (or just sensitive to their saliva. Bites swell up pretty big on me)In that case I don't think so, winter is thankfully mosquito free
Mosquitoes cause heart worm .You don't want to attract them if you have pets
Something to keep in mind with mosquitoes is while chickens can't get heartworms, mosquitoes do spread fowl pox...
