So far I like Cackle for the chick ordering. No issues with chicks at all. Don't know if they would have what you want tho.

I've only ordered chicks once, and it was from Mt. Healthy. If I ever order chicks again, it will be from them.

Metzer might have what you want, they have red chickens, or Murray McMurray, they have tons of various different breeds

Honestly, the way I'm spending money elsewhere makes this more of a thought experiment than an actual set in stone plan - competing priorities, as always.

and the thought of bringing new breeds in almost feels like cheating (however necessary it will likely become).

CHICKEN MATH!

Must CULL first, then and only then can I consider growing the numbers again.

I thought about goats to eat the poison ivy. I like goat meat...then I seen a bottle baby in the office when I picked up feed...the sweetest thing... I have trouble harvesting turkeys, ... No way goats would make it to the freezer
