Stormcrow's Hobby Farm

I get snarky comments from others about the South shutting down for 4" of snow.

Reminder:
No plows
No sand
No salt
No all season/snow tires
No experience driving in snow

So we take a day off, clean off our cars and shovel so the sun can melt the ice.

Maybe they are just jealous :p
I have relatives that live near Portland Oregon. They never had Air conditioning because it was rarely 80f. So when it was 100 no one had ac and none were carried by the stores.

Wow! I hope people have enough food and uh, TP, to last. The important stuff.
Would you believe 60-some rolls? Amazon just delivered a case last week ;)

and if I run out of meat, there is plenty in the pasture... Maybe 30# of veggies. Frozen, of course. We are good, thank you.

First Turkey egg today. About the size of a duck egg, but much more "teardrop" in shape, and speckled, with one dark "mole" of coloration. I'm sure it will size up as the hen's plumbing gets into the swing of things

As first eggs go, I've seen far odder bits of calcium, water, fats, and protein.
