After about a million temp spikes I have 3 Muscovy eggs left in the incubator & today 1 has started pecking inside its shell working its way out, another looks a little behind but still moving well, the third egg turned all black last night where the air sac is. I checked and it wasnt moving so (worried) I popped the top off and the soft part behind the hard shell was like leather (humidity has been perfect). After i got through that part I noticed the inside was all slimey & yellowish..almost liek the yolk had broken...anyone know what this is?

The baby is still alive so far, its been a few hours but I know it's early for him to come out and with this strange-ness i dont know if its going to make it.

You can see here where the shell turned black-ish & sort of see the slimey stuff. (yes, there's still a little yolk in there too)

i have had that happen before. it kinda looks like you helped a bit and chipped away some shell. just let him be and keep him warm in the bator and once in a while moisten the sticky part of the inner sac. by dipping your finger and water and lightly touching the sticky part .... soon the veins will dry up when the yolk finishes absorbing. dont help him anymore until hes ready.....he will come out.

Edited because he died

There was a TON of problems with this incubation so I am suprisd that there are any still going to hatch.

Thank you though, good to knwo for next time.

Also, that stuff was liek GLUE, it's all shiney & tough now, just like glue gets when it dries...
