I’m not sure how to even describe what is going on so I apologize in advance. One of my hens’s has an egg outside of her vent, but it hasn’t come free of her insides yet. These Orpingtons are just reaching laying age. This could be her first time laying, but I’ve never seen anything like this before snd have no idea how serious it is or what to do to help her. I really hope someone had delay with this before. I appreciate any help.

Are you sure that's an egg? Is it hard or squishy? Because it looks like prolapsed vent. Here is how to deal with it: prolapse-vent.
"Put on latex gloves and prepare for re-insertion. Gently massage the tissue back inside the vent and into place. The tissue should respond with easy, delicate touching; do not press too hard. If the tissue is not going back in easily, then the case has become too complicated, and you will need to call a vet..."
This may be daunting for some people because they have to push all that back in, and if you don't want to send her to the vet or if it keeps coming back out when you put it in, your going to have to put her down.

If it does go in, it probably will come back out when she lays eggs too like so.
