Hello! I adopted a couple chicks due to owner not able to care for them anymore a while back, this one is 3.5 weeks now but was told it’s an Americanua, but I don’t think so, I think it’s an Easter Egger, has really interesting feather colors! What you think of breed? Hen or roo?

It's hard to be certain without knowing for sure where they originated from. But with that lacing it could be a silver laced wyandotte, or slw mix. 3.5 weeks is a little too young to tell sex, but nothing screams cockerel to me.

I actually think this is an Easter Egger aka Americana. Americana spelled with an "i" is sometimes used as another name for EE. Spelled correctly "Ameraucana" is a true breed subject to SOP.

This little one has very slight muffs/beard and those legs make me think it's an EE. The splotchy coloring does give me cockerel vibes but it's still a little too early to say. Keep an eye out for reddish coloring appearing on the wings. That would mean it's male.

Thank you for the comment! Yes for sure I feel like it’s a mix breed as well!
