sunburn?

Any idea what’s going on here? Background, these chickens came with our house that we bought so I’m a newer chicken owner. This lady just went through a molt and is looking fabulous. she is about 6 years old and laid 4 eggs last week. I noticed her comb turning black this week (it’s not dirt). It has been 90 degrees all week but they have plenty of shade in their free range area. is this something worse than sunburn?

I'd pick her up and work on clearing the stuck on debris from her beak and nostrils.
