I think you should call one of them Agda. That's a Swedish hen name!

will do just to pick the right one....I am getting 8 or 9 more of these day old from the same guy I got all of my older birds from...also he has been saving me all the eggs he can get so hopefully my incubator will be full again!!

Love this breed jumping into to this forum. Could someone point me to the Breed Standard for these. Thank you I found out a guy have some close to me which are from. Green Fire Farms. Thank you

there really isn't a sttandard for the breed, since it's a landrace breed from sweden...

but generally speaking they have yellow legs and display a mottled/mille fleur/calico type color/pattern. they may be crested or not, or have blue/splash coloration in place of black.

i think the breed was also chosen for it's hardiness, consistently laying well, and a good personality.

i still don't have any SFH of my own, but are experiencing them vicariously thru Bulldogma.

at least for now, until i can get some of my own.
