Hello, brand new member here. Actually so excited to find this forum for other birds.
My husband rescued a blind chicken from a relative's house. Likely due to ammonia it appears.
She is sweet, however, the other birds are picking on her of course, so we have to keep her separated.
I am not sure if she lays eggs or not.
She was a foster mother to our new birds...so very motherly. She would keep them under her wing and protect them from the cold. Very very sweet.
Located near Dayton; willing to drive within an hour. Please let me know if you know anyone who would help take her.
We have too many critters to take care of at this time. This was not in the plans.

If I was closer id gladly take her, Im in NJ but I have a indoor flock of special needs birds which includes a fully blind rooster! Blind birds can have amazing lives and are so so sweet usually!
