Swollen abdomen/runny poop/lethargic hen

We are concerned about one of our hens, who has had the above symptoms for about 3 days. Would love any solid advice. She was eating with the flock, but keeping herself separated the rest of the time. We brought her inside yesterday to keep an eye on her, and bathe the crusted poop off. She has mostly slept. Can hardly keep her eyes open. She's eating little bits and drinking water. The abdomen is like a hard water ballon.

This sounds like pneumonia, please get some meds from them! This can be deadly. I’ll keep your flock in my prayers

Thanks for the reply, but What makes you think pneumonia? There is no respiratory distress at all.

I had a hen that had the exact same issue and I called the vet over and he said it’s pneumonia and gave me meds for her and the rest of my flock, and showed me how to always look for the easily and late stages of it! Early stages is less movement, discomfort and an almost swollen, vary warm rump. And later stages are with the diarrhea, standing all scrunched up, less energetic, less food intake, eta.
