Our girl has always had a slightly wonky eye (a bit smaller then the other) but this morning we woke up to this šŸ™
I am freaking out and want to take her to the vet. Do I need to take her In ASAP? It will be an emergency fee so it will cost quite a bit but I don’t want her to be in pain.

she doesn’t seem particularly bothered and the other chickens aren’t bothering her . Anything I can do to help until I can get her to the vet (if that’s necessary)?

Welcome To BYC

The poor dear! She's also got a cross-beak :(

Can you take a look inside her beak - what's in there - is it yellow crusty lesions or dirt/debris?
Also underneath her beak at her wattle, there is a lump - what's that like?

If you have vet care, that would probably be best.
Swelling of the eye is often an indication of respiratory disease. Getting some testing so you know what you are dealing with is a good idea.

Most likely, the swelling is due to pus in the eye - this would need to be pressed out/removed, the eye needs to be flushed well with saline and an eye ointment put into the eye a couple of times a day. In addition to removing pus and antibiotic may be needed to help fight infection depending on the cause.
