SWOLLEN EYE

Hi my young roo and older roo got into a fight 2 days ago they were ok I cleaned the wound but today his eye is completely swollen shut how can I help him?

EDIT: my older roo is now lethargic and not wanting to eat or drink as far as I can tell. His injury’s don’t look serious and his poop is a light green and white.

What did you use to clean it?I would put some triple antibiotic (without painkiller) on it.

Started with just water then I used saline wash

Keep him separated. Flush the eye with saline twice a day. Use either Terramycin eye ointment from the feed store, or plain Neosporin ointment into the eye twice a day. It may take a few days to determine if his eye is intact. Usually when roosters fight, one will have to be removed or they may kill each other.
