Tailless chicken :(

Good Morning everyone,
Today when i woke up and went to feed my chicken i saw one of my chicken tailless, Its tail was broken and i could see its bone too. i immediately separated it from rest of the chickens. I am wondering what could be the reason because that tail is NOWHERE to be found. Nor do i think it would be some other predator like mouse or cat cuz my cage is locked up and there no slit or something for even mouse. Now i think its because of my cock. He used to beat the other chickens but we thought it was for mating. Here i want to ask is can cock be that brutal to even break one's tail?? or their tail is this sensitive...

Welcome to BYC. I would guess the tail was pecked by the other chickens. Clean the wound with anti-septic and apply some antibiotic ointment (Neosporin, Bacitracin, etc.) If you can find some colored wound coat spray such as BluKote, you could spray the red area to disguise it from pecking. You could place the chicken in a cage with food and water inside the coop for recovery.
