Tales of Azula the wonder chick, and her sister Ty Lee!

This is a thread for updates on Azula, the chick that survived possible Marek's disease; and her sister Ty Lee!

Azula was found at a local feed store panting and heaving, horrible respiratory distress.
For about three days I had been syringe feeding her whenever her crop would empty, around the clock in an attempt to keep her alive.
On that third day she started eating for herself again!
This is when I was able to get her sister, Ty Lee!

These two are absolutely in love with each other, cuddling and eating together.
This will be a continuing story on them, and their journey as house chickens

I'm not positive but I don't think Azula had Marek's but she sure was destined to die had you not rescued her and taken such wonderful care of her!!

Azula and Ty Lee are getting some free roaming time today, done by removing a panel from their brooder for access in and out. As you can see they are having such a good time! If only I could send the videos of Azula's wing flappies!
They are absolutely not happy with the veggie baby food but they will eat it unhappily. This is offered to them in the morning. I remove any uneaten portion after a couple hours and make sure they have access to pellets for the rest of the time

Forgot to mention I do sprinkle a tiny bit of pellet on top to entice them from time to time!

I guess Ty Lee gets more cuddle time with you, while her sister goes exploring.
