I would like to tell you a little story....
Once upon a time my husband and I took our adult children and their SO's to lunch. Here we sat at a little downtown pub (f you are ever in downtown Mobile, Al stop in at Iron Hand and say Hi to Ben), and we pop the question to our kids, " if we buy oh ya know 15-20 acres would you want to build a house and all of us live on the same property?"! Fully expecting them to be like, "nah, we're good". To our surprise they did not even have to think about it. Fast forward, 8 months later and we found the perfect 36 acres, sold our current homes and now here we are Misty Pines Farmstead establish May 2022! This is where the story ends and the work began!!

We are very much enjoying our family and our new home! Spending time identifying our assets on the property and how we want to move forward with it. The biggest problem is when it's time to go to work, I don't want to leave the property. I think I will be looking for a remote job!! Overly Blessed For Sure!

What a great story. I can't believe they said yes! I know a family that built a house like a duplex and have one common area to cook and eat and it works!. I would much rather do what you're doing. It looks beautiful in pictures. Good luck to you.

Welcome to the coop! I use the Forums and Articles tabs at the top of the page to do research. You can get lost for hours. It's nice to know you are minutes away from getting help with questions and emergencies! I always check in the "What's New" section as well at the top of this page. This way I can read how I may have a similar question or help give some advice.
