Who lives where it's freezing half the year?? What is your cold weather care? I plan to have them in smaller pens with thick straw bedding in an old cinder block Gable style barn. So they will have no wind but plenty of ventilation. I'm talking Asil, Malay, ko Shamo and Indio gigante. Thanks

Maine is the same, freezing half the year. Currently just starting to enter spring.

Alittle wind doesn't hurt them, it's moisture that does it. One Malay Cock got frostbitten toes this year, had moisture problems that wouldn't resolve easily.

My Asils, Brazilians, and Cubalayas have adapted to Virginia winters. I wrap plastic around the GA Pluckers pens and all pens when it gets below 10°. Its a combination of wind, cold and dampness that is hard on them. They can usually handle 2 of the 3
