The chicken corral pics

So here is the chicken corral now that I figured out how to post pics. It is 24 feet square. One side is along the barn and leads into their palatial living quarters.

I'll post pics of that later.
It is 2x4 " welded wire from about 2 feet up and below that is hardware cloth with some in an "L" shape under ground. I have bird netting over the top for now. The fencing beyond the pen is an old horse pasture where I hope to free range them (supervised) soon. I am going to put in a small overhang near the coop.

It looks great. I am planning to build a chicken corral this summer. I want my chickens to have a modified free range area. So they think they are free ranging but I know they are safe. sigh..such a fine line.

I wanna know more about the "L" shaped hardware cloth you've got around the bottom! I was thinking of doing the same to my coop. Did you lay it out on the ground and pin it down or pull back some of the dirt and bury it? I only wish my run was the size of yours!!

ETA... just went back and read that it was under ground

In regard to the underground hardware cloth we tried to put it down 6" deep and out horizontally another 6 inches. We had to work around some big tree roots so that was a challenge. Here is a view of where the ramp goes into the barn/coop area.
