Type, carriage and table merits: 32/40
Size and quality: 11/20
Colour and markings: 9/15
Head: 9/10
Condition: 8/10
Legs and feet: 5/5

Overall: 74/100

Type: fantastic type, good long body, low tail, wide at rear. The only issue I see is that the head and neck are too large compared to the body. He’d get more marks for an even fuller breast.

Size and quality: basically the same point I made above.

Colour: I’m not an expert with wheatens but he looks good to me. An even richer shoulder would be ideal.

Head: very good Marans head. Strong beak, round wattles, medium, tidy comb.

Condition: yes the pecking takes away from this, I’m sure he’s healthy otherwise because you care for your chooks.

Legs: pretty much perfect.

A very good score, one of the highest I’ve judged. Great potential here I can’t wait to see future generations of you plan to breed them to SOP.

Thank you so much! He's still young so hopefully there's some room for a little thickening up. I have the first set of eggs from him and my Wheaten ladies due to hatch the 9th My psycho serial broody Onyx is tending to half of them
