Actually I'd be perfectly happy if my dog cleaned up the yard.

The last two days he's left me presents in the house.
It's supposed to thunderstorm tonight but guess what? He's staying OUTSIDE from now on!
He's gonna eat cheap Dog Chow and sleep in a dog house. No more pampered pet treatment for him. Hmp.

I know this sounds off, but something could be wrong with your dog health-wise. I know our family dog began peeing and pooing in the house all of a sudden. Had an infection (urinary or whatever). I had a couple people the same thing happened to... just an infection or someting was wrong that made the dog come inside to relieve himself due to being sick.

I'd check it out.
And remember, cheap dog food = bigger poos LOL and often stinkier.

LOL Also, if he poos just to poo (make sure again he's not sick), you need to teach him otherwise lol or he's never not going to not poo in the house again lol

When I was a teenager we had a Dachshund and if he got mad he would pee on your pillow. Not just any pillow, but the pillow of the person he was mad at. Needless to say, we threw out several pillows. He was a great dog, but very stubborn.

Um yeah he went through a lot of this when we got him coz I raw feed. I fully expected some tummy upset on the switchover. Things have been fine after the initial switchover, until yesterday. It's almost like he just can't or won't hold it till I wake up or get home from work, it's not like he's acting sickly or going unusually often.

He's 4 and came to me "housetrained" and we use a crate, so it's not like he's just going wherever for the heck of it. This is not a puppy problem.

They (probably him) DID shred a pillow in the yard the other day though. He doesn't seem to eat the stuffings, but ya never know if something could have gone down that shouldn't have

I know full well about the poop benefits of better food. It's a really big perk of raw feeding. But tonight after I kicked him out he deposited a nice pile of bones on the front porch. He hasn't done this in over a month so I thought the "switchover" was well, over.
I'm just not in the mood to keep spending MONEY on his sorry stomach. Not to mention in the mood to clean up messes every time I come home from work or get out of bed.

YUP!! JJ our doxie is SOOOOOOO stubborn, it sheer coincidence if he actually does what you tell him.. it is ONLY because he was just about to do it anyway... and I have had to wash my feather comforter so many times

I am sooo excited though..

My DD, CP, started reading this series of books that follows three generations of women starting back in the early 1800s. We got all the first set and then they discontinued them. I have been looking far and wide. They are going on Amazon for more than $100.. no kidding for a paperback book put out in 2007 that is 200 pages long for 12yo girls. One place had it for $360 totally outrageous.. After looking long and hard I found ALL 16 of the rest of the books for 8 bucks each plus shipping I am very excited. They will get here next week and it will be a surprise for her!! I am torturing her with teasing!!! I love it!!

Yup.. but I am going to have to hide this thread from her until they get here HA didn't think of that until I wrote it.... DUH.... I can't resist any more.. I have tried to be so good all day.. but I am going to make some fudgey buttons.. I just can't stand it any more!! BRB

Just wanted to let you know...

Oh yeah... that's why you have TWO dogs.. when one pukes... the other one eats it! I don't condone this, but I always seem to get there too late, preferably half mouth full of half of vomit up...

I have two dogs too, but one is too smart to eat anything "nasty" she doesn't eat poop or anything else that "normal" dogs eat.

Just my luck, huh?

Fortunately, I have chickens.

There won't be nothin left except bones to sweep off the porch tomorrow!!

You can add "cleanup crew" to the list of reasons that I like having chickens.

Now if we would get off the icky topics (not my fault, someone else started it!) . . . how's the weather?

We are entering tornado season. It was nearly 70*F today and humid, with a SW wind all day, then it suddenly shifted and got cold fast, now it's raining. Looks like just thunderstorms tonight, but it's gettin that time o' year!
Which reminds me, I should lower the brooder lamp now that it's actually cold outside. Didn't want them to burn up when it was 70 out and the sun was shining on their house!
