Are they cold hardy? Every time I see pictures of them it makes me want to knit them some little leg warmers. I must just be used to my fat-bottom girls?

Mine do fine in the cold weather. Leg warmers would be cute.

Very cold hardy here in upstste NY. In fact I have a friend up near the Canadian border who raise nothing but Modern Game Bantams.

I'm in Canada and mine seem to do fine and don't seem to be anymore susceptible to the cold than my other chickens.

Modern Game Bantams are fine with temperatures of 20 degrees F and above. If it gets colder, you will need to give them some additional heat. A heat lamp in an old metal water tank works for me. If you leave them in the freezing weather they will freeze their toes off and they may damage their knee joints. These bantams are just too small and their legs and toes are too thin to handle very cold weather.
