The second set of turkey eggs I shipped to my friend has 100% development. The first set that was lost, then showed up almost 2 weeks later are not developing (surprise, surprise).

Yeah some of the eggs came from them. And some from my Painted pen. Turkeys are aggressive to young poultry, chickens are too but turkeys can do a lot more damage. I try my best to keep the turkeys separate, especially the bigger toms and boss hens. It was just an unfortunate accident my grow outs all got killed.

I put a whopping 6 eggs in lockdown today. Only one from my Brown Leghorn hen, and 5 Ameraucana eggs. After this set, I have a clutch of 10 more eggs and I will be done hatching for the year.

Let’s try this again. Moved a group of grow outs to the big brooder. And then it came a huge thunderstorm, but all is well. There look to be a lot of roosters in there.
