The Moonshiner's Leghorns

Well I’m pretty sure that the yellow ones are Buff Orpingtons because I’ve seen enough of them. I think that the other ones are Leghorns though.
I can see why you've gotten confused, because they're both the color buff. You don't usually see the color buff in hatchery birds that aren't orpingtons. In reality, orpingtons look like this:

While leghorns look like this:

As you can see, it's a very different body shape. Leghorns also have white earlobes, while BOs have red.

I understand why people would confuse them. They're the same color, which is called buff, and they also have a single comb.

However, that is where the similarities end. Leghorns have different conformation, shank and skin color, and (more famously) they have white earlobes.

The OP of the thread has more knowledge on Leghorns than probably anyone in the country. He's also a genetics master. @Amer is a genius at genetics. @OneHappyRooster, @black_cat, and myself are breed and gender specialists.
