Lord Ickenham is always happy.Hey, I just realized... Your Avatar...
Looks like the first thing one would see waking up inside the chicken run, after a hard night of partying...and the rooster isn't happy. NOt that it's happened to me..ya know..just my imagination...
Well I’m pretty sure that the yellow ones are Buff Orpingtons because I’ve seen enough of them. I think that the other ones are Leghorns though.Yep. If you scroll through this thread, you'll find tons of crazy Leghorn colors.
I can see why you've gotten confused, because they're both the color buff. You don't usually see the color buff in hatchery birds that aren't orpingtons. In reality, orpingtons look like this:Well I’m pretty sure that the yellow ones are Buff Orpingtons because I’ve seen enough of them. I think that the other ones are Leghorns though.

I understand why people would confuse them. They're the same color, which is called buff, and they also have a single comb.
However, that is where the similarities end. Leghorns have different conformation, shank and skin color, and (more famously) they have white earlobes.
The OP of the thread has more knowledge on Leghorns than probably anyone in the country. He's also a genetics master. @Amer is a genius at genetics. @OneHappyRooster and myself are breed and gender specialists.
Was in a state. Lemme fix it lol.I'm just along for the ride
