I've been dragging to break 500.
Think either next hatch or the one after I'll be back up in the 30s or more hatched per week.
I was shooting for around 700 this year.

Over here mixes are hard to sell. People are picky... if they aren't picky they already have a bunch of productions reds and are happy to replace them every 2 years.

So far this year I have hatched only 2 eggs that are mixes... it was a test batch of pullet eggs.

Same here usually. Most of my mixes this year have been from broody hatches. I only used my incubator once this year

All my chickens are penned so I don't have that issue.
But yes I can see how easy it could happen
