Which ones? My mom stopped hatching Buckeyes for the year (too many, lol)@Amer how are your Buckeye eggs developing? My Buff eggs are due to hatch on Thursday.
That's awesome. My Buff eggs are due to hatch on Thursday.
Yes you do! I look forward to seeing the chicks you hatch this year. That's awesome.
Replaced the thermostat on my truck last night so hopefully that holds up with no issues or leaks.
Day 4 at work underway and I woke up to a beautiful 57° morning. Supposed to be near 80° today. Tis the season. I need to be hearing some peeps soon.
Hmm I think I may have thought you bought the buckeye eggs and you were hatching the eggs. I remember you mentioned Buckeye eggs I think, but maybe it was a lady on a Fb group that mentioned buying Buckeye eggs and had them shipped. I may be getting my social media lines crossed. Yes, because her eggs and mine are due at the same time. Sorry I got mixed up. I’m running on fumes, minimal sleep, and maximal caffeine these days. lolWhich ones? But I gave my friend I think 14 (if I remember correctly) to set and hatch for UW River Falls to have a self-sustaining educational flock and she said the incubator is the type where you open it only once to candle before lockdown because it lets out a lot of air. I don't know why that is such a problem because it's not like hens don't get up but if that's the system that works for her, okay. But I wonder, isn't she even a little anxious to see how they are developing?
Who knows if even one is? What if the incubator stopped working or something?
The good news is the toes on all the young Large Fowl Buckeyes are perfectly straight. Some of our breeding stock from one source have outer toes that bend outward a bit.
Well those are very pretty though they look more like "white Vorwerk" than buff exchequer. I really don't see the mottling. These are the birds a guy is selling, that he's calling "buff exchequer"

You should see the birds posted for sale in my area. Crossed breeds being sold as pure this and pure that. At least those chickens look like some variety of leghorn. These are the birds a guy is selling, that he's calling "buff exchequer"
