The new coop

@Auntiejessi3 This is the "back" half of the grow out pen. It basically looks like a (rather warped!) table with 3 legs on one side right now. It's the part that is under the poop board.

It looks like the legs are crooked. They probably are, but the back one is a piece of 2x4 that split, so one side is not straight anyway. I'm using leftovers, found lumber, and scraps to build this.

It'll be about 19 1/2" of vertical space underneath, and is about 20 inches wide. It'll run the 8 foot length of the coop. It'll be about 30% more space than their brooder is right now.

My plan is to finish it over the weekend, and work on the addition to the run. I'll need some help with that, and DH has a 3 day weekend.

Add up the cost of the lumber you would have had to buy. Show this to him. Tell him that a better title would be "Frugalista."

Made some adjustments after Ruth got taken by that f@$%'n coyote. Adding hardware cloth to the bottom 3ft of the run tomorrow. It is now 6ft tall+. He hasn't been back, yet...
