The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Asking for good vibes everyone. I have a phone interview in about 45 minutes. I’m nervous.

On the plus side, I took a typing test to see what my skills are and I did 47 WPM. I’m not as fast on my laptop as I am my real keyboard, but it’s good enough.
:fl Hope that things went well.

My grandaughter, Emily- mom of Poppy Lynn and soon to be mom of Violet Jane- bought a new house.
I love my house, and my big bathroom, but I'm a little jealous of her bathroom and closet. Not to mention the fact that it is so new and clean. (Its in a subdivision though, and I'm not jealous of that.)

I'm very happy for her but I do wish she'd have gotten a degree before having another baby. They bought a 4 bedroom home because they plan to have at least one more baby. (Trying for a boy.)
It sits on 2 acres and he has promised to build her a duck house and pond.
I would like for her to be more independent but they both seem happy.
Wow that’s a lot of storage. I’m jealous too!

I hope she and her family flourish there!

Thanks for the well wishes all. Job didn’t work out. The recruiter was really nice and impressed by my resume, but the employer they contract with for this job doesn’t hire from AZ. Poop to them.

OAN I just got done helping my son fill out custody papers for Hope. He dropped that on me via text while I was on the phone interview. It’s a whirlwind week apparently.

Yes I knew that and it’s crazy how pricey they are. Here all we use them for is to rinse the dust off the windshield

I, unfortunately, did know this. I had a similar experience at auto zone.

I knew I hung out with some smart women! I'm catching up with you all because now I know it too

Whoa, that is some serious space! Your grand can still get her degree Janie, it might just be delayed for now.

Sorry about the job IM, their loss. Fingers crossed things go as well as possible with your son & Hope.

I'm sorry it didn't work out. I'm sure you will find something soon.
Good luck to your son, and to Hope!

She can, but with a kindergarten child, a new baby, and a who knows when planned, it may be several years. I like her husband, though. He is a few years older, and while he spoils her, he seems to be encouraging her to mature, too.
He's 28 and she is just 22. She was the teenage mom that caused us some heartache a few years ago. They seem so young, but I know that I knew everything at that age.

It's never too late to get an education, maybe just more logistics to work out.

You didn't know everything until you were 22? Heck, I knew everything by the time I was 17. :lau
