I finished the McFadden book. It wasn't bad, but not quite as good as her others...I kept waiting for a surprise ending but that didn't happen. Again, not bad, just not super.

Thanks for the recommendation Janie, I'm always on the lookout for good books.

Have you read any by Kristin Hannah? I read "The Four Winds" last week and really liked it so I'll be looking for more of hers. The story of that book starts off in Texas and covers one family's experience trying to keep their farm through the Dust Bowl drought years, and then moving on to California and working as migrant workers.

I've seen it on Amazon, but have not read it just yet. I will keep it in mind.
I have several in my queue. Lately I've started several "did not finish " books. I used to force myself to read them, but now I will return them unfinished if they are boring.
