Hey thanks, Janie! (Is it cool to call you that?) Anyone can feel free to call me Jen (it's shorter. )

I probably should've put a garbage bag on it--the other day I kinda got way deeper in the mud than I was planning on and got some of my bandage dipped in the schmuck (oops) but I just cut it off and thankfully didn't get in too much trouble today. (So I kinda lied about the mud-bogging, lol.)

I did put a garbage bag over it in the tub! I can get my foot wet now, so that won't be a problem.

I have about 3 or 4 more weeks with the boot (sleeping in it, too ). I already got my other foot done a handful of years ago, and the holidays always make everything go by fast so I think we are on the downhill now!

I bet I'm not the only one that's been through something similar. It was a (I think Lapidus) bunionectomy.

It is Absolutely okay to call me Janie.
I have a bunionette/tailor's bunion- little toe rather than big toe. I've managed to avoid surgery so far. Its much easier to deal with now that I am retired. I've met people who have had the surgery and it made me even more determined to avoid it. I hope you heal quickly.
