Have you tried zipping it on to see if it will conform to the square sides? It probably won't, but just to be sure.The outside cat still doesn't want to come inside I've just put chickens breast and cat food just inside my back door.
His kennel arrived today and they sent a round roof and cushion with a square base, so he won't have the warmth of that either. The last on I got was too small. I've been waiting for this since 2nd of December. Unless he comes inside he will likely freeze.
All I can do is return it.

Sorry you got sent the wrong thing. I hate it when that happens. We made a cat house out of an old styrofoam cooler. It wasn't the prettiest thing, but it worked. I guess you could decorate it.
