The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Speaking of dog 'owees'. About a year ago our granddaughter was attacked by a loose dog. Dog tore muscle out of her arm, thigh, and buttocks. Injuries were so serious they could not be sutured, and she had to go to a wound repair hospital over several months. Just received a $375,000 court settlement which she will never see as the people have fled town. She by the way is doing fine and has even run a marathon.
Oh my goodness, that’s terrible! It sounds painful, let alone going through it. I’m so happy to know she’s doing well now though. I hope it didn’t ruin dogs for her forever.

She and her husband have 4 dogs now. 2 rescued since the incident - she's resilient. The truly weird thing is that although the dog attacked her it did not bite or act aggressive towards any of the men helping her.

I've never had a cloche to try out but I think @ronott1 has one he uses. A cloche is supposed to give a nice crusty loaf with a tender crumb so give it a try and let me know how you like it.
I have a cloche that I use for bread baking sometimes. It works well.

The trick with them is that they mimic a steam oven so they come out more like a professional bakery.

That’s awesome! :) And yeah, that is weird. Although we had a dog who was fine with women, but only a very few men were ok. Who knows, they can definitely be a mystery.
