The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Hi Jen, I've used that lost marbles in the past when it seemed to fit (it fits surprisingly often:lol:).
Be prepared. It will fit more frequently in the future.
We have named her Maggie.
Brought a tear to my eye. Miss Maggie Mae was our last dog for entirely too short a time.

There was an outdoor concert in the area when she disappeared. If she is still alive someone has her. Hopefully some day a vet will scan for a chip.
NPR had a segment today about a dog that was found by a pet recovery service. They found the dog, with a broken leg, a mile from home under a tree. They used thermal imaging.

Daughter and SIL utilized drone searches, thermal imaging, tracking dogs and every facebook group within 350 miles of her loss. No signs of her or her body leading hopefully to the possibility that someone had taken and was caring for her. Although she is microchipped, she had no collar with contact information.

2nd good morning.
I'm full of good news this morning.
1. Emily, my granddaughter, who expecting a baby girl in March, is honoring me by naming her Violet Jane. (Gramps, Jim, is getting a lot of mileage out of that by saying Violent Jane. Ha)
2. My youngest Son & wife are expecting their first baby in July. We found out, yesterday, that she is a girl! They say Emily stole the name they had picked out.
3. Someone contacted me last night and they have the stray boxer that we tried to take in, in September. I am so thrilled because I've been worried to the point of sleeplessness. I'm going to pick her up this morning.
Great news!

Yes, that's a great photo. It sounds/looks like the weather held out better than you (or at least the weatherman) anticipated? Besides that thunderstorm, anyways. I'm glad the trip was a success. Did ya bring some sand with you back in your luggage? That's always fun.
Thanks! The weather was pretty good. It didn’t affect anything we wanted to do. The thunderstorm hit around 7:30 that night. The humidity kicked my butt.
My daughter in law brought a baggie of sand back and a few shells.
We have named her Maggie. The youngsters will all be close, though my granddaughter lives in Arkansas, and her uncle's family is in Colorado.
I like that name.
