The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

I just baked a pan of brownies. I screwed them up. I had it in my head I was making cake. Apparently there is a correct order to mixing things🙄Anyway…I was not impressed with it. I was expecting bold chocolate. For what it costs, I’ll stick with Hershey’s. It was $33 for a 2.2 lb bag. I was influenced by a baker I follow. Her cakes are good.

Non dutch cocoa is better for Brownies. I have mixed black cocoa with dutch cocoa in recipes and it tasted good.
 
That is a lot of rain!

It really is with maybe another 3" expected by Saturday.

Last month when we drove to the Maker's Mark Distillery, we saw areas about 26 miles from our house that were flooded and that same area is in trouble again with this weather system:

Hope you didn't waste time/money on something that won't work for you. It's nice that it's fine enough to not need sifting (Hershey's is kind of lumpy).
I tried a brownie again tonight. It was ok. Hubby thought they were ok. I won’t waste it…too expensive. Hersheys is always lumpy. I have to strain it every time.
