At the request of hoosierhen, some pics of the ninjas (our kennel name is "Impulse").

First, some "fancy" pics. NO ONE has this hair any more!

And, of course, DELTA. Delta really deserves a post all to herself.

Here are some more of the pups we've bred, who live with other people, from Baltimore, Maryland to Fairbanks, Alaska, and everywhere in between (that's me in the first pic, and not me in any of the others):

We haven't shown anyone ourselves in a couple of years--it's just so time-consuming to keep the coat up and then get them to shows--but we have several of our breeding out with co-owners being shown.

I like the blues, too! We are breeding Hope to Reggie this fall, which we're really excited about, and we should get blacks and blues.

Wow. love the dogs. Love the purple and gold ribbons...they are my favorite two colors!! Wish we could just get one more of them to finish off my boy in the avatar here.

Show dogs are fun, but it's nice once they are finished to just let them be dogs...if they get a matt in their coat, we can just relax and cut the darn thing out and not have to worry about it.

Congrats on your beautiful dogs and what looks to be a very successful show career.

Isn't it a FANTASTIC feeling to get that championship certificate in the mail? That is the MOMENT that we have a giant haircut party! I've seen poodle people at shows after a win, popping champagne and shaving the dog down on the spot, but I think they are CRAZY--what if something happened that caused a DQ and you really don't have the points you thought you did?

Oh My Goodness!!! They are so cute!!! I love poodles! What size are they? We had a poodle when I was younger that was a teacup, I just loved her to pieces!!

ninjapoodles,
Thanks for posting the pics! They are all spectacular!! Especially love the one of Delta. Also love the "bedroom eyes" of the next to the last pic. I had a toy poodle named Tori for many years, and she was so special. I absolutely adore standards, and if I ever get another big dog, (my DH says No way, but I know how to work him! LOL) I would like a standard. How are your dogs around your chickens?

I could do an entire thread of Delta pics. On my flickr stream, Delta makes the "Explore" page more than any other subject I photograph.

Around the poultry? If I'm there, fine. If I'm not, they're having chicken dinners--NO DOUBT. I haven't given anyone the chance to prove me right yet, but I don't doubt that's what would happen. A turkey flew into the yard today, and Gabby, the silver mini girl, had one pinned down in nothing flat--and the turkey is three times her size! If I hadn't been right there to intervene, she'd have killed that turkey, I'm sure. Time to clip some wings.

I find the standards easier to control around the birds--maybe it's due to their history as working retrievers. Whatever it is, I can call the big girls off much easier than I can the minis.

Here's a more typical scene, out of the show-coats (we call the show hair their "drag."
