Actually yes, permethrin is flammable!
But i will use that sprayer - it is old and in no good shape (Harbor Freight Quality) - to spray that mixture of Diesel and Gas onto the driveway before throwing lit match…
We got 15cm (½ foot!) of wet, heavy and sticky snow today. With the forecasted overnight temp of -13°(8.6F) that will become solid ice by tomorrow. And i am in too much pain to clear the driveway again. And its still snowing here.
Oh i love global warming! 😈
How did your driveway turn out after doing that to it Frank. I would be concerned as to where that diesel fuel and gas end up being. Someone here used it as a weed killer and got fined big time years ago for killing all of the fish in a nearby river. I hope it worked out for you.

She said she will ship them next Monday the 27th. I am sooooo happy about that. She said the cold would not hurt them but if we have bad roads that could cause delays. It will be 10 below 0 F and I don't think that is good for any animals to be shipped in myself. Miss Lydia agrees on that one.
It is Tuesday now and i am still waiting for a small package that was promised for Sunday…
Nothing urgent, but imagine that would have happened with life animals. I would grow my fingernails out of my elbows by now.

My driveway is still covered in a massive chunk of ice today.
Fortunately i don't have to go down to the creek and the little road or the mailbox, so i stayed indoors for as much as possible.
Also fortunately a lot of the ice has sublimated in the bright sunshine we had yesterday and today it is sunny here again. Sunny but cold…
With just another day below freezing to go i might not have to use the the burn method at all.
Thursday is forecasted to be +2° (35F) here.

Nope! - February!
Sometimes in February i need to start this year's seedlings and this year the nursery plant sale counts…
Oh yes, I'm so looking forward to starting new veggies. Some new-to-me tomato varieties I'm eager to try -- Polaris and Mat-Su Express, as I understand it they were created in Alaska so it's allowed to talk about them here while discussing the freezing weather :)

We won't reach that temperature here until Saturday. I didn't have to work today or tomorrow because of the cold. No complaints here on that one. I am fortunate too because my outside spigot has stayed unfrozen so I have been able to give the ducks water without carrying buckets to them. What a blessing that is. I did manage to take a tumble putting more wood shavings into the pet gazebo for the ducks a little while ago. What are the chances of a person falling on their knees and landing in the middle of the bag of wood shavings. Talk about God watching over me. Sometimes I am a full time job for him. I have figured out to always take my cell phone out with me just in case something does go crazy that I can at least call for help. My coworker did not one time and had to climb all the way back to his house on his knees. I told him to always have it with him so he could call when things go wrong.

My husband already has tomatoes growing in his shop along with peppers and the cucumbers are blooming. I am excited to see if they make it to full grown. The peppers already have but the last tomato when it was smaller got dry rot on the bottom of it. So far these are doing well still.

That is why I am so glad that she decided to ship on Monday the 27th instead of now. It will be 11 below 0 here in the morning. I know they can take the cold but sometimes people's vehicles can't.
