i wonder if it’s fractured
I did fracture the bones on the top/back of that foot about 25 years ago, but that would be one heck of a long 'healing' time! :lau

I'm actually thinking it might have something to do with it though, combined with my collapsing arch. Doctor said I just needed arch supports, but that actually makes it worse. Thus the x-rays.

Google: tendinopathy, tibialis posterior

I also have this problem combined with a dropped arch. No definite progress yet.

Caused by overload, age and unsuitable footwear.
Hmmm, close, but my pain is on the outside of the foot. The rest all sounds right though. I'll mention it to my useless doctor. 👍

Well you know... medicine is not an exact science, strange as that might sound, because (at least)

- each body has its own peculiarities
- what doctors can help with very efficiently are the things that happen the most; once you are out at the edges of statistical distribution the time and even probability of getting a good diagnosis and treatment become questionable

It is my impression that the foot, much maligned throughout life (bearing all the weight evey day), is composed of many pieces working in balance and once something gets it out of balance, there is a gallop of various symptoms and it's really hard to restore things back to a good state. Hopefully with a good physiotherapist but sometimes even surgery.

For me it was a silly self-inflicted thing - I got tired of putting on (very good quality) heavy hiking boots to work on the farm and switched to rubber farmer boots (no support no nothing but super easy to slip in and out of) some 4 years ago, and 3 years ago symptoms slowly started appearing, I ignored them for a while, eventually they could not be ignored anymore, and here we are.

You're saying that you have also had an old injury - these all tend to come back eventually as time passes, becoming a sensitive and painful spot again.

Happy Monday to Everybody, everywhere!

I was supposed to work on the Sunny's new Duck-Palace yesterday, but had to buy more duck-food first and on the way back from the farm store i spotted a »for sale by owner« sign, stopped and bought this on the spot:

No more renting a trailer from you-howl to buy layer-pellets. The tool-box is not bolted down (but can be) and contained a second set of wheels and a trailer-jack stand.
