I have enough ducks! 🤞
No more duxlings! 🤞
No more broody ducks! 🤞
Remember the poopnados! 🤞
Where is that jar with the duxling poop?!?
I know what you are saying and out of the nine eggs in my two incubators I only have three that are viable and have a slight chance of making it. It's just so much fun to watch them develop and try to figure out what they will look like from the Barnyard mix of ducks I have. Everything has gone wrong with the one incubator but the two in it are still hanging in there, I am not sure how.

I've learned not to trust any of that poop. It just depends on the duck. Right now I have the squirrly Perkins and calm Ancona and Pekin/kacki /runner cross. The more you handle them as babies I think the calmer they are regardless of kind. Though all my runners did run away.
Mine would never let me touch them until this year. I have been fixing them their favorite salad every day. Iceberg lettuce, cucumbers and frozen thawed peas. When they are trying to eat it out of the bowl I can touch any of them. Amazing what a treat will do for them, lol.

I drive about an hour to town every day... this would not deter me at all 😅
Our TSC in our town recently had ducklings for 50 cents a piece!!! My coworker was in there when they had them. They tried to talk her into buying some but her husband won't let her have any. I asked her what kind they were and they were Pekins. I was so glad because of leg problems I have never had the urge to have any of them, lol.

I got Jumbo Perkins with my hatchery Choice. I give them premium feed and extra b and they are getting too big for their legs. They are the size of geese.
I rescued a Blue Swedish Duck along with a Rouen and a Muscovy around Christmas time. She is huge but so far her legs are just fine. She lays giant blueish eggs too.
